We’re passionate about promoting healthy, active lifestyles and this year we were thrilled to be the Official Water Partner of the Great North Run. From runners to spectators, over 410,000 bottles of Aqua Pura were on hand to ensure everyone was fully hydrated throughout the day.

Working closely with Olympic champion Sally Gunnell OBE to offer hydration tips to all involved, our Aqua Pura Recovery Zone provided the perfect place to rehydrate and relax, while 8 hydration stations were set up along the race route. Aqua Pura will continue to keep all participants fully hydrated across all 42 Great Run/Swim events through the year!


The Great Run is a fantastic series of events that offers people of all abilities the chance to realise their potential and compete against some of the world’s best athletes.

With 5K runs, 10K runs, half marathons and full marathons there’s something for everyone, whatever your ability. What’s more, it raises millions of pounds for charity.

Now in its tenth year, the Great Swim hosts thousands of open-air swimmers at its exciting outdoor events. Whether you’re looking for a fresh challenge with your first outdoor swim, or you’re used to the thrill of open air swimming, everyone is welcome to take the plunge! Hydrate and Be Great

Keeping hydrated is always important, though no more so than when you’re exercising. And so whether it’s on the day of a race or during your pre-race training, make hydration a top priority. And why exactly is keeping hydrated so important when exercising? It’s because water helps our muscles work - so by drinking water before, during and after exercising will help prevent your muscles from cramping. Knowing exactly how much water you should be drinking according to your specific requirements can be hard to figure out - and so we’ve created a clever tool which will make sure you’re drinking the exact right amount of water your body needs to feel great. By following the three simple steps below...our very clever tool will do all the number crunching for you. First things first - you will need to know your weight in kilograms and your height in centimeters in order to use the tool.
